This three-day summer workshop immerses you in authentic French cuisine, seasonal ingredients, and the traditions of the region. Over three days, you’ll enjoy hands-on cooking, market visits, and local excursions, all designed for small groups of six participants to ensure a personal and engaging experience.

The workshop includes:

 

Day One - Arrival & Orientation: On arrival, enjoy an orientation tour of Montmorillon and a welcome apéritif dinner to meet your fellow participants.

 

Day Two – Explore & Discover: Spend the day exploring the local area, visiting charming nearby markets, towns, and a UNESCO World Heritage site, including one of France’s most beautiful towns.

 

Day Three – Hands-On Cooking: Immerse yourself in a full-day hands-on cooking class, preparing French classics and regional dishes. Lunches and dinners are shared together, and weather permitting, meals will be enjoyed in the garden, making the experience relaxed, scenic, and memorable.

This three-day autumn workshop immerses you in authentic French cuisine, seasonal produce, and the traditions of the region during one of the most beautiful times of year. Autumn in rural France brings markets filled with mushrooms, apples, walnuts, pumpkins, and other seasonal treasures, inspiring the dishes we’ll cook together.

 

Over three days, you’ll enjoy hands-on cooking, market visits, and excursions that combine two passions close to my heart — French food and the rich history of the region. The experience is designed for small groups of six participants to ensure a personal and engaging atmosphere.

The workshop includes:

 

Day One – Arrival & Orientation: On arrival, enjoy an orientation tour of Montmorillon followed by a welcome apéritif dinner where you’ll meet your fellow participants and begin your French culinary adventure.

 

Day Two – Food & History Excursion: Today we venture beyond Montmorillon for a day that combines gastronomy and history. Our first stop is the beautiful city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain and vibrant food culture. We’ll visit the city’s renowned covered market, the Les Halles Centrales de Limoges, where locals shop for regional specialties, fresh produce, cheeses, and charcuterie.

 

Later we continue to the nearby village of Oradour-sur-Glane, one of the most important historical sites in France. Preserved as a memorial village, it stands as a powerful reminder of the events of the Second World War and offers a deeply moving insight into French history.

 

This day reflects one of my great passions — sharing not only the food of France but also the stories and history that shape its culture.

 

Day Three – Hands-On Autumn Cooking: Immerse yourself in a full-day hands-on cooking class inspired by the flavours of the season. Together we’ll prepare French classics and regional dishes using fresh autumn ingredients. Lunches and dinners are shared together, and if the weather allows, meals may be enjoyed outdoors in the garden, making the experience relaxed, scenic, and memorable.

 

This workshop is perfect for food lovers and travellers seeking an immersive French experience that blends cooking, tasting, and exploring — all in a relaxed small-group setting in the heart of the French countryside.
